Sardines Rillettes

Made to a traditional recipe with sardines caught off the north coast of Brittany in France, these rillettes will appeal to sardine aficionados. The crème fraîche, lemon juice, and hint of mustard perfectly complement the robust sardine flavours.

Serve these French fish rillettes spread on toasted baguette, crackers, or blinis for a flavoursome starter or to accompany an aperitif.

The story of Le Père Eugène, a Breton fisher, began four generations ago. Le Père Eugène is now the name behind a wide range of fish conserves and part of Le Grand Lejon, an award-winning smoked and salted fish producer in northern Brittany.


Ingredients: Sardines 55% (caught in the North-East Atlantic or East Central Atlantic), fresh cream, lemon juice* (lemon juice concentrate, lemon flavour, antioxidant: ascorbic acid), onions, mustard* (water, mustard seeds, alcohol vinegar, salt, acidifier: citric acid), chives, salt, natural flavour, thickeners: xanthan and guar gum, lactose, milk protein, pepper.

*Contains sulphites.

May contain: mollusc, crustacean.
